From current #HamiltonBway Music Director Kurt Crowley: The tradition of Saturday Night On Broadway (SNOB) at HAMILTON started with OG music director, Alex Lacamoire, performing a short skit broadcast live to the cast and crew before the Saturday evening show at the Rodgers. We took it over in the fall of 2016, and have kept up a continuous streak of weekly SNOB’s for 180 straight weeks, assisted by a multitude of cast, pit musicians, and sub conductors. After March 12th, we went to a digital format, and have kept producing a virtual SNOB music video for sixteen weeks. Before we take a summer hiatus, Lac encouraged us to ‘go out with a bang’ – so we conceived this mashup of “Stars and Stripes Forever” with a multitude of HAMILTON and IN THE HEIGHT musical quotes, to celebrate the release of the film and the 4th of July. We reached out to all current HAMILTON orchestra members, and long-time members of the original and current music team.
