The 75th Annual Tony Awards will return to its traditional summer time slot for the first time since 2019 on June 12 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Playbill asked the 2022 Tony Nominees what it means to them to be nominated this year and how they celebrated their nomination.

Nominations for the 2022 Tony Awards were revealed May 9, with A Strange Loop becoming the most nominated production of the season with 11 nominations including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical.
Also leading the pack of nominees were MJ The Musical and Paradise Square, each with 10 nominations. The most nominated play of the season is The Lehman Trilogy.
Following last year’s two-part broadcast shared by CBS and streamer Paramount+, the 2022 Tony Awards will include an hour of exclusive programming streaming on Paramount+ from 7 PM ET, followed by the three-hour main awards ceremony airing live on CBS and streaming simultaneously on Paramount+ (for premium-level subscribers only) from 8 PM ET, making this year’s ceremony the first in Tony Awards history to be available live nationwide. The broadcast will also be available to stream on demand on Paramount+ for all membership tiers following the live stream.
