Jay Armstrong Johnson, Maulik Pancholy, and More On What to Expect From JC Lee’s To My Girls

To My Girls, a new play by JC Lee, begins performances March 15 at Second Stage’s Tony Kiser Theater. The play centers on a friend group of gay men enjoying a post-pandemic vacation in Palm Springs who, after the drinks start pouring, discover some hard truths about a changed world. Watch the video above to learn more about what to expect.

The production stars Bryan Batt (Mad Men, Jeffrey), Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town, The Phantom of the Opera), Carman Lacivita (Marvin’s Room, Cyrano de Bergerac), Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock, It’s Only a Play), Noah J. Ricketts (Frozen, Beautiful), and Britton Smith (Be More Chill, Shuffle Along).

A Strange Loop and Be More Chill director Stephen Brackett will helm the production, leading a creative team that includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Sarafina Bush, lighting designer Jen Schriever, and sound designer Sinan Refik Zafar. Movement is by Patrick McCollum, and casting is by The Telsey Office.

To My Girls is a Donna and Ben M. Rosen commission, and the production is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
